Maneck Mohan from HK-based recruit.net kindly forwards me top level details on his vertical search play in the region, the first I’ve seen is focussed on Asia Pacific (or part thereof, for now at least)
Just launched last week, we have a ton of things to do still (in publick -sic- beta) but please do take a look and would love to get your feedback and comments
Of particular sentimental value is the Australia channel, but I won’t hold it against them if they decided to focus on China and India
The site claims 1.4 plus million job results, of which jobs in china are 1/2 mill. Results quality mixed, but it is really early stages.
Would be interested to see if a first mover advantage in the region is a sustainable source of leadership in what are the fastest growing economies in the world. What with Simply Hired using the myspace implementation and, in general, the News association getting them to think pan-US soon.
Have a look
belated reference to michael who reported about recruit.net last week

Heather’s post about rumours on his work-mate reminded me of the level of maturity an organisation needs to reach to allow, enable, support, perhaps defend? voices that may not necessarily endorse the official party line. At the same time, these voices give themselves an editorial responsibility of sorts, which can only rescind if their audiences revoke their legitimacy.

Dear consumer product marketeer:
Perhaps if you give me some straight talk, I might not be too upset to get interrupted.
A couple of days ago, I saw an ad about either yogurt or a breakky bar or somn in that portfolio. The message – if I got it – was that it was made of real fruit
But you know how they put in the box with big bold in-a-star yellow gold letters?
‘Made from 40% fruit’
‘Made from 40% fruit’
I just typed it in one more time in case I missed somn and this post looks more stupid than the ad.
What does made from 40% fruit mean?
I’d like to think that they meant that 40% of the product’s inputs ARE fruit, but I am not 100% sure. Or even still that the finished product IS 40% fruit (inputs).
Could they make a clearer assertion without getting in deep fruit?
