Maneck Mohan from HK-based recruit.net kindly forwards me top level details on his vertical search play in the region, the first I’ve seen is focussed on Asia Pacific (or part thereof, for now at least)

Just launched last week, we have a ton of things to do still (in publick -sic- beta) but please do take a look and would love to get your feedback and comments

Of particular sentimental value is the Australia channel, but I won’t hold it against them if they decided to focus on China and India

The site claims 1.4 plus million job results, of which jobs in china are 1/2 mill. Results quality mixed, but it is really early stages.

Would be interested to see if a first mover advantage in the region is a sustainable source of leadership in what are the fastest growing economies in the world. What with Simply Hired using the myspace implementation and, in general, the News association getting them to think pan-US soon.

Have a look

    It’s a nice little site isn’t it.
It still needs a bit of functionality but I’m sure they’ll get there.
SH and Indeed don’t seem even remotely interested in Australia so good to see someone having a go.

    Hi Jorge,

    Thank you for the posting.
The “Australia Channel” is a major focus for us and I think you will be pleased with the way it’s going to develop.

We’re still in public beta right now and have been getting a great deal of constructive feedback and comments. Please do contact us anytime with your thoughts and suggestions.

    Thank you.
